Archimedys™ installed in a concrete preparation plant in Denmark
One of our a concrete preparation specialist, called on Archimedys™ to solve a problem of transport and corrosion in a concrete preparation station.
Salt in 25 kg bags is emptied into a specially designed hopper. It is elevated to a height of 4 m by a series of two 45° inclined, cascading and misaligned conveyors.
No more problems with steel screws
The modularity of the Archimedys™ principle made it possible to adjust the conveyor profile to avoid any jamming when transferring material from the loading hopper without the need for intermediate bearings on the 10-meter long conveyor.
The Archimedys Archimedys™ screw adapts perfectly to any configuration. The polymer, used in its manufacture, is highly resistant to abrasion, often three times that of steel. This makes it possible to long conveyors without intermediate bearings.
Featuring a simple, compact design, the Archimedys™ screw is lighter than a steel screw. This facilitates the installation of rooftop conveyors... The screw is simply built, without any welding, by assembling standard modules directly on site.
Improved maintenance
On the maintenance side, the benefits are are also considerable! In fact, only damaged modules are replaced and put back on the axle in case of wear, not the whole screw. This makes maintenance operations are very quick and simple. Maintenance costs and maintenance times are considerably reduced.
Archimedys™, a technological revolution
The advantages of the Archimedys™ modular screw are such that every day more and more manufacturers decide to abandon steel in favor of the Archimedys system. We're truly witnessing a technological revolution in bulk material conveying.
