One of our customers, a specialist in water treatment and recycling, chose Archimedys ™ to equip their latest lime dosing installations for their wastewater treatment plants.

The original design called for the use of a steel screw in a tube. Our customer encountered technical problems with the suspension of this steel screw, which could rub and wear the structure, as well as problems with corrosion, dosing repeatability and, above all, maintenance.

What to do in the event of breakage or abnormal wear? Archimedys™ provides an original solution. The engineering polymer design eliminates the need for intermediate bearings, simplifying design. The nature of the material makes the screw totally insensitive to corrosion. The dimensional accuracy of the modules obtained by molding ensures a high degree of repeatability in screw output, essential to ensure correct metering. The Archimedean screw is manufactured by assembling standard components to facilitate all maintenance operations: only modules that may have been damaged are replaced very quickly, thus avoiding plant downtime.
