Archimedys™, an innovative solution for animal feed.

Archimedys™ was chosen by one of our customers to improve its animal feed equipment. Indeed, the latter was looking to adjust feed distribution for his chicken farm by building small conveyors himself.

Feed distribution is an important element in poultry farming, since feeding hens the right amount five times a day ensures rapid weight gain. Nevertheless, it's a time-consuming daily task.

The feed distributed to the hens consists mainly of a loose mixture of different ground grains. Our customer therefore came up with the idea of manufacturing his own conveyors using PVC tubing. Thanks to its modularity, Archimedys™ enabled him to perfectly adapt their length to the configuration of his facility.

Our modular auger solution has opened up a whole new world of possibilities for him, as he now plans to create a range of conveyors and offer them to his colleagues.

Archimedys™, the ideal solution for conveyor refurbishment

With conventional steel screws, it's difficult to adapt conveyor lengths and add intermediate bearings. They are also noisy during operation. Archimedys™ was the perfect solution for our customer!

The need for quick handling by maintenance personnel, rapid installation, recovery of existing elements - these are the main advantages of this new technology. Featuring a simple, compact design, the Archimedys™ screw is lighter than a steel screw. This makes it much easier to install. The screw is built simply, without any welding, by assembling standard modules directly on site. What's more, if damaged, the modules are replaced in the event of an accident. They can then be put back on the axle without having to replace the whole screw.

The technopolymer used in its manufacture is highly resistant to corrosion. Its abrasion resistance is often three times greater than that of steel.
