Archimedys™ earns MAPAQ ranking for flour bag unloading in Canada
Our modular Archimedes screw solution achieves MAPAQ ranking in Canada. One of our Canadian customers opted for the Archimedys™ solution to improve the operation of a flour bag unloading station. At each cycle, our customer was losing around 500 g of material per 25 kg bag. This loss was the result of the inefficient profile of the metal screw used in their process. Archimedys™, through its modular construction and in its food configuration, made it easy to adjust the screw profile. Bag losses have virtually disappeared.
All Canadian flour depot facilities will standardize on the Archimedys™ solution.

The need for quick handling by maintenance personnel, rapid installation, recovery of existing elements - these are the main advantages of this new technology. Featuring a simple, compact design, the Archimedys™ screw is lighter than a steel screw. This makes it much easier to install. The screw is built simply, without any welding, by assembling standard modules directly on site. What's more, if damaged, the modules are replaced in the event of an accident. They can then be put back on the axle without having to replace the whole screw.
The technopolymer used in its manufacture is highly resistant to corrosion. Its resistance to abrasion resistance is often three times greater than that of steel.
