Archimedys™ equips whirlpool for butterfly breeder

It was in an enchanting setting that our Archimedian screw, Archimedys™ found its place. In fact, one of our customers, a butterfly breeder, equipped a whirlpool with an Archimedys™ screw allowing marble balls to move and create eddies.

Problems associated with steel screws fade away

A traditional steel auger would have had too many drawbacks in such a location. Noisy when in use, unsightly, and with the corrosion problems inherent in this type of material.

The Archimedys™ screw adapts perfectly to the situation. The polymerused in its manufacture, attenuates the screw's operating noise. Visitors won't be disturbed by the way it works: a change of scenery is guaranteed!

What's more, this polymer is highly resistant to corrosion. Its abrasion resistance is three times greater than that of steel. Even when continuously immersed in a tank, the screw resists corrosion longer than a conventional steel screw.

What's more, with its simple, compact design, the Archimedys™ screw is lighter than a steel screw. This makes it much easier to install. The screw is built simply, without any welding, by assembling standard modules directly on site.

Relatively improved maintenance

In terms of maintenance, the advantages are also considerable! In fact, only damaged modules are replaced and, in the event of wear, put back on the axis, rather than the whole screw. Maintenance operations are therefore quick and easy. Maintenance costs and lead times are considerably reduced.

Archimedys™, a technological revolution

The advantages of the Archimedys™ modular screw are such that more manufacturers are deciding to adopt it! Many industries use Archimedian screw technology for their bulk material conveyors. This is truly a technological revolution in the conveyor sector.
